Young Lawyers are most at risk …

Substance abuse study says the level of problem drinking in addition to mental health issues in the profession are on the rise. The results indicate they are occurring at higher rates than other professions and the general population, but there is not one clear answer as to why? Patrick R. Krill, Director of the Legal Professionals program at Hazelden Betty Ford said at a press briefing, “Any way you look at it, this data is very alarming and paints the picture of an unsustainable professional culture that’s harming too many people. I wonder how that breaks down between genders? Even more so, if little people are involved. And what if there is only one parent present? It is a wake up call to prepare for the stress ahead and understand the decision to move forward into what appears to be something too difficult. As I sit in my home office listening to the morning news and my son watching Thomas & Friends … I remind myself to:
